INS began offering free e-mail accounts to the users.

Febarary 2001
Major re-launched which included expanded coverage of international events plus information sections added including a Health Guide and Internet Directory.

April 2001
Business section relaunched with market data from US markets

September 2001
INS News publishes a special edition to cover news of terror attacks on the United States. Site traffic reaches record levels.

30th January 2002
INS News opens it's South Asia newsroom in Southern India, Sheikahmed Mohamed Asharaf will be the burau cheif of the office. It is the first newsroom outside of Australia and will provide a greater coverage of news events.
