US Comment: Expand War on Terror into Iraq
Andreas Munger - Contributor in Chicago, United States

Washington, Feb. 2 2002 (INS News) --
George W Bush clearly warned Iraq, Iran and North Korea that they are on a list of future possible military action. They show an unwillingness to co-operate with the United States war on international terrorism.

In his state if the union address, President Bush warned about the dangers the civilised nations faces to Iraq's inclination to develop chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons of mass destruction. Mentioning Iraq is possibly a forewarning to Saddam Hussien that we are really watching everything going on inside Iraq.

While an attack on communist North Korea is not likely, Iraq is the number one danger America faces. Iraq is the most obvious stage for the next war on terrorism. George W. Bush needs to finish the job his father failed to accomplish a decade ago.

Americans are more ready and willing for war to prevent any other destructive attack like the attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. There is evidence of Iraqi intelligence involvement in the World Trade Centre attacks and it is time to topple the regime of Saddam Hussien .

His leadership is perhaps as brutal as the Taliban and leaving him in power in Iraq will always threaten Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. It doesn't make sense not to go after Hussien. The prospects of the future are worse as his son is even a crazier man than his old man-raping and killing non-Islamic women in prison cells.

The United states needs to go after leaders like Saddam Hussien if they want to destroy all forms of terrorism. The world needs to be eradicated once and for all of leaders like him and Slobadan Milosevic. Any war on terrorism should include heads of states that cause terror to their own people and others.

Leaving Saddam Hussien in power was perhaps the second biggest blunder in the twentieth century only being outdone by the pathetic Neville Chamberlin appeasement to Adolf Hitler. It is time for George W Bush to erase former president Bush's mistake and capturing Saddam Hussien and putting democracy back to the cradle of civilisation.
