Trivandrum, India, Nov. 13 2001 (INS
News) -- Dark clouds away from horizon of anti-global
terrorist steps by the formal declaration of designating
Pakistan based Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed
as foreign terrorist organisation.
Though delayed, US determination is highly appreciable
one.
Fulfilment of a long-standing demand, India welcomed
the ban describing it as yet another display of
determination by US in fighting global terrorism.
Recent disclosure of Donald Rumsfeld, US Secretary
of Defence in a joint press communiqué with
George Fernandes, Defence Minister of India, that
Kashmir would not be excluded from campaign against
terrorism further strengthen the move for global
sweep.
A step in the right direction and heartening one.
US secretary clarified the the war against terrorism
was not about Afghanistan alone but target terrorist
wherever they are.
Liberation of Tigers of Tamil Ealam (LTTE) which
is waging war for a separate homeland for Tamil
in Sri Lanka, also branded as a foreign terrorist
outfit.
Let and JeM are the keen trouble makers, both in
home and abroad.
Both Pakistan based outfits were only responsible
for ruthless and heinous killings in India.
Previous years trigger on a army camp near Redfort
at New Delhi realised that the hands of outfits
not remained within the boundary of Jammu &
Kashmir but spread over in the subcontinent.
Many innocent became victims in ruthless and heinous
killings with the backing of Pakistan
even after the attack on World Trade Centre.
For not blaming this massacre, US became targeted
serious criticism.
Nations especially India measured suspiciously on
US steps on anti-terrorism.
Realising all these, may be the reason behind the
ban of these organisations as ultras.
Not
secret one that Pakistan is fully backing these
ultras.
With out that they could not acquire advanced weapons.
US determination could be seen as a stinging rebuttal
of Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf that the
terrorist actions in J&K are indigenous freedom
fighters.
US determination that Kashmir would not excluded
from anti global terrorist activities and
wont rest till every terrorist group is removed,
should have its own quantum of spirit to eradicate
this organisations.
US have to device fairly solid code of definition
to curb the outfits.
Earlier attitude of US nurtured these ultras to
grow and colour the happenings as freedom fighters.
How far US's anti terrorist step lead to cease activities
is the main question and divert them to main stream.
Attacks on military camps after this designation
seems to be a menace.
All the eyes cornered what steps US going to take
against the branded outfits.
The subcontinent is the victim of terrorism, channelled
by these organisations with the full support of
Pakistan.
US have to initiative all steps to prevent support
to terrorist and cross border terrorism.
The scheduled visit of Atal Behari Vajpayee of Washington
for talks with George W Bush as a part of Indian
campaign against terrorism, expect a fruitful one
for eradicating terrorism .
