Trivandrum, India, Dec. 12 2001 (INS
News) --
A hint from Prime Minister Atal Beharee Vajpayee
about the possibilities of meeting with Pakistan
President General Parvez Musharaf during the South
Asia association for Regional Co-operation Summit
in Kathmandu, Nepal next year amidst of Musharaf's
remarks to the leaders of European Union that Pakistan
is ready to discuss every issues focusing Kashmir
with India.
India's generosity to maintain peace in this region
is appreciable. Tension prevailed among the two
countries since last half century. With out doubt
it is proved that bloodshed is not a solution for
reducing tension and for ultimate peace.
War between the two countries made only shattering
the economy and wide spread unrest in the country.
Dialogue is the only weapon to cool the tension
in the civilised society. No further talks with
Pakistan was the attitude of India unless and until
they stop cross border terrorism. As a commitment
to peace in the subcontinent India itself initiated
for discussion with Militia regime. The outcome
was Agra Summit. Which was further a step ahead
for peace furthering centuries old culture and love
of peace.
All the eyes are cornered with a execrations at
Washington, the venue for the 56 th General Assembly
meeting of United Nations where both leaders participated,
have a meeting with the two leaders. Such meetings
of the two leaders not only held but Indian leader
remarked no need of going Washington, it can have
either in New Delhi or in Islamabad. This itself
was clear cut hint of India that doors are open
even for a discussion with Pakistan considering
of regional peace.
The situation now is the uncertainty which existed
in diplomatic relations began to melt. Merit goes
the meeting of leaders of the two nations at an
early date after the Kargil War. Though less merit
to the Agra Summit both countries tried level best
for a better future. It came like as a invitation
to Vajpayee to visit Islamabad for further continuation
of talks.
A venue to have a talk between the two nations with
in a short period after Agra Summit obtain a better
understanding. Lack of Indian experience in diplomatic
ties with Pakistan had a adverse effect to the country,
which shadowed in Agra Summit. Indian approach in
Kathmandu should be in well prepared and a calculated
one.
US war on Afghanistan aimed for anti-global terrorism.
Organisations of International level especially
United Nations are speedy action for a global sweep
of terrorists. In this juncture discussions with
the two nations prevent Pakistan from cross border
terrorism. India have to exploit situation utmost
through diplomatic ties. Peoples of both nations
wishes a peaceful atmosphere. Both leaders have
to continue talks and every meeting may cut short
the route of distance for a permanent peace in the
region.
